Choosing a new reading intervention is an important decision. Schools want to know that a program is effective before making a long term investment, and educators deserve the opportunity to see meaningful results with their own students. That is why Great Leaps offers a comprehensive three month Digital Reading Pilot Program designed to give schools the opportunity to experience our intervention with the students who need it most. Great Leaps does not have a single sales person on staff. Our Students' reading growth and motivation is our best sales tool so this is your chance to see it for yourself at no cost. It will require your leadership, organization and commitment however to implement our intervention with fidelity.
The Great Leaps Digital Pilot is available for schools and districts interested in implementing a research based reading intervention. The pilot includes licenses for ten or more students with no maximum number of participants. Whether you would like to begin with a small intervention group or provide access to an entire school, our pilot is designed to fit your needs.
During the pilot, participants receive full access to all three Great Leaps Digital intervention programs. This includes the Great Leaps Emergent Reader Program, which provides alphabet instruction, letter sound practice, and phonological awareness activities for students developing foundational literacy skills. Schools also receive access to the complete Great Leaps Reading Program, which includes Phonics, Phrases, and Stories for students reading below a fifth grade independent reading level. In addition, the pilot includes the Great Leaps Basic Math Facts Program covering addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to help students build automaticity with essential math facts.
One of the greatest advantages of the pilot program is the level of support available to your staff. Great Leaps is committed to helping schools implement the program successfully while recognizing that every school has different needs. Our team can provide as much or as little support as you would like throughout the pilot. We are available to answer questions about implementation, discuss individual student progress, provide recommendations for overcoming implementation challenges, and help support fidelity of the program. At the same time, schools that prefer to implement independently are welcome to do so. Our support is always available as a resource, but involving our team is never required.
When implemented with fidelity for just fifteen minutes a day, three to five days a week, over a three month period, Great Leaps data shows that students average more than one full year of instructional reading growth during their first three months of intervention. This remarkable growth is one of the reasons Great Leaps has helped thousands of struggling readers build confidence, improve fluency, and become more successful readers.
The Great Leaps Reading Program is designed for students who are reading below a fifth grade independent reading level. It is particularly effective for students who struggle with reading fluency, decoding, and comprehension. The program is frequently used with students receiving intervention services, students with dyslexia, students with learning disabilities, multilingual learners who need additional reading support, and older struggling readers who require age appropriate intervention materials. Because the program is individualized, students work at their own instructional level while developing the automaticity and fluency necessary to become more confident, independent readers.
